Beatrice Fehlig George '29

She was honored for her athletic ability in basketball as well as for participating in the first tournament in badminton, a sport introduced into this part of the country at Maryville.

 

Sister Mary Gray McNally '32

She was hailed as an “all around great athlete.” While at Maryville she was on the hockey, basketball, track, archery and badminton teams. In addition she played for the first team of the St. Louis Hockey Club, a group composed of coaches, graduates and students of private colleges and universities in the city.

Sister Ruth Stanley RSCJ '33

She was honored for being a three sport athlete. She was captain of the basketball team as well as being a member of the hockey and badminton teams.

Ruth Gander Pfeffer '34

Was a member of the field hockey and basketball teams and also active in horseback riding. She chaired the committee on events for the first annual Maryville College Horse Show in 1934. She is still active today in riding and was instrumental in reestablishing the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show to one of the finest in the country.

 
Bonnie Dewes '39

She was a two-sport athlete, laying basketball and field hockey at Maryville for four years. She has previously received the Achievement Award from Maryville.

Loretta Murphy McCoy '41

Was an outstanding basketball player as well as track athlete, competing in the high jump. She won the National Indoor High Jump Award in 1936 and competed for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Squad. She was the first woman to do the scissors high jump. She was also offered a position on a professional women’s basketball team.

 
Elizabeth Jones Mudd '46

She participated in hockey and basketball and was captain of the basketball team that was undefeated for the entire four years the team played together. Since her graduation from Maryville, Elizabeth Mudd has been an active fund raiser for Maryville College and has served as chairperson of the Alumni Annual Fund Drive. She was honored for many contributions to the St. Louis community by being named Globe Democrat Woman of Achievement in 1970. She is married to Dr. J. Gerard Mudd, a member of the Maryville College Board of Trustees.

Dottie Mauntel Geisert '47

President to the Women’s Athletic Association while at Maryville. Member of the varsity basketball and field hockey teams. Also played volleyball as well as other sports.

Maria Musick Brennan '49

A four-year member of both the hockey and basketball varsity, “Mighty Mike,” was a vital part of both teams and was among the basketball team’s leading scorers in 1948, when the team took the college cup with a record of 11-0. She was captain of the hockey in her senior year. As a four-year member of W.A.A., she became Secretary in 1948, and Vice President in 1949 when she also chaired the annual Basketball Tournament which earned her the designation “all around Maryville girl.”

Marie Costello Glynn '49

Marie was an outstanding sportsperson, competitive, fair, aggressive and well coordinated. She was an excellent basketball and field hockey player. Marie was an excellent team leader and organizer. Welcome to the Hall of Fame

Rachel Gross '49

She played hockey and basketball. She served as president of the Women’s Athletic Association and was named Best Athlete of the Year in 1947. She was also named to the reserves of the Midwest Hockey during the Midwest Field Hockey Tournament held in St. Louis in 1946. In addition, she was a member of the first St. Louis Hockey Club.

Mary Hrdlicka Rothschild '49

Was honored as a varsity basketball player, she was a team co-captain and one of the team’s leading scorers. She was also an excellent tennis player.

Virginia Schless Senkosky '49

Virginia Schless Senkosky ’49 played basketball and field hockey for two years. She was co-captain of the basketball team for both years. She was also a member of the Horseshow Committee and the Women’s Athletic Association.

 

Sr. Dorothy Buder '52

She was very active in the Annual Horse Shows at Maryville College. She was a participant in Missouri Stables and Riding and Hunt Club competitions and in the Maryville competitions showed gaited horses, side saddle and costume class contests. She has also made headlines as a triathlete, representing the U.S. Team of he World Championships Triathlon.

 

Elizabeth Higgins Mast '52

During her years at Maryville, Libby continually demonstrated her versatility, immediately becoming a member of three varsity teams: hockey, basketball and equestrian. She was an active member of the W.A.A., serving as Secretary in 1951.

Mary Rose Driscoll Heil '54

Along with sister Susan won three St. Louis Junior Girls Golf Titles, two St. Louis District Women’s Match Play Tournaments and was a four time P.A.C.T. winner. They were also the first women golfers to represent a Catholic College.

Sr. Sarah Stephens RSCJ '56

She starred in varsity basketball for four years. She also played hockey, baseball, volleyball, tennis, and badminton. She received the “Best Athlete Award.” Sr. Stephens worked behind the scenes as will on other athletic activities, serving on the Horse Show Committee as tournament chair, and also as an official referee.

Sue Pierce Felder '57
She was a forward on the Maryville basketball team at Maryville and distinguished herself as an Honors math student with nearly a straight A average.” A writer, a student council member, a speaker, and piano accompanist at Maryville, Sue Felder still claimed basketball as her first love during college. She now teaches French and music at Patterson Nursery School and is the mother of seven children. Her husband, Dr. James Parkam Felder is a physician in St. Charles. Mrs. Felder has been an active alumna, serving as chairman of he 25th reunion of her class in 1982.
Nancy Boone Warner '57

Starred as a member of the varsity basketball team while at Maryville. Also President of the Women’s Athletic Association.

Susan Driscoll Schultz '58

Along with sister Mary won three St. Louis Junior Girls Golf Titles, two St. Louis District Women’s Match Play Tournaments and was four time P.A.C.T. winner. She was the first St. Louisan invited to play on the Curtis Cup team and she and her sister were the first women golfers to represent a Catholic College.

Tim Fagin '77

Played varsity basketball, soccer and baseball. He was a starter in all three sports. During his senior year, the basketball team set a school record for most points scored in a season (2272). His best season in soccer was 1976, his senior year, when he scored 6 goals and added 5 assists, good enough for second in team scoring.

Mike Jenkins '80

Who lettered in basketball at Maryville all four years holds the record as leading scorer for Maryville with 1442 points in 102 games. His field goal career record in 607, and his free-throw percent for 102 games is 73.5%. He was a member of the All-Conference 1st Team, the Most Valuable Player of the SLACAA Tourney, and All-Conference 1st Team and All Tournament Team in 1979 and 1980.

 

Al Treichel '80

Who lettered in basketball all three years he attended Maryville and played one season of baseball, holds a Maryville record as third all-time scorer with 1332 points. His rebound career record is 899, and he holds a 48.9% field goal record. His athletic honors include being selected Most Valuable Player of eh SLACAA Conference Tourney in 1978, 1979 and 1980. He was selected to play on a team that represented the United States in Australia.

Dennis Beckett '80

Was a 4 year varsity basketball and baseball player; basketball team captain 1977-78 and 78-79; grad assistant 1979-80. He was a member of the first team at Maryville. Statistically, his best season was 1977-78 when he scored 169 points and had 173 assists, a school record for assists with 466.

 

Ron Landolt '80

Was a 4 year varsity soccer player and letter winner. Team captain during the 1978 and '79 seasons. His best scoring season was 1978 when he totaled 11 goals and 5 assists. During 1979, his senior year, he was a key member of the Saints squad that finished 10-5-2. Ron scored 10 goals and added 5 assists that year as Maryville received its highest ever regional and national ranking. Rom is currently employed as project engineer by the Hercules Construction Company. His wife Karen is also a Maryville alum.

Bill Heitholt '76-'82

Was Maryville’s athletic director from 1976-82, becoming the first person to officially have that title. As director, coach and recruiter, he truly laid the foundation for Maryville’s program of today. Under his leadership, Maryville joined the NCAA III in 1978.

Bill Schlueter '82

Was selected as the ’80, 81’ and 82’ SLACAA tourney’s most valuable player. He was also named to the select United States basketball team to represent the USA in Sweden. While at Maryville, the tam record was 50-37, and Bill received letter all three years.

Karen Brandt Galen '84

Was voted softball’s most valuable player in '81, '82, '83, and ended '84 with a .362 batting average. In basketball she averaged 12.6 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game in her senior year. In soccer she was voted the most valuable player in '80, '82, “and '83 and was leading scorer. In '84 she was chosen to receive the “Super Athlete Award.”

Daniel Behlmann '85

Was a three-year letter winner and key member of Maryville’s 1985 baseball team. As the squad’s #1 pitcher, he compiled a record of 10-2 with a 1.74 earned run average and helped to lift the team to the school’s first ever NCAA tournament berth. He was selected 1st Team All-Midwest for the 1985 season.

Larry Hawkins '85

Was a 4-year letterman in baseball. He set the school record for most stolen bases in a season (47), as well as maintaining a career batting average over .300. He was a member of the Maryville team that reached the 1985 NCAA Mideast Regional Baseball Championship.

Sue Beck Medcalf '86

Played varsity basketball, soccer, and softball. In basketball she was team MVP in 1985-86 as well as 1st team All-Conference. She holds, or shares, several school records including most points scored in a season, highest scoring average in a season, and most points scored in a game. In soccer she was team MVP in 1984 and 1985. She led the team in scoring in 1984. In softball she was All-Conference in 1985 and 1986 and All-District in 1985. She is one of only three athletes to win Maryville’s “Super Athlete Award”.

Mike Meyer '86

He played varsity basketball and baseball for four years. In basketball he was top freshman in 82’-83’, leading scorer and team MVP in 84’-85’ and 85’-86’, 1st team All-Conference and leading scorer in the conference in 84’-85’ and 2nd team All-District in 85’-86’. In baseball he was a pitcher and outfielder and was a member of Maryville’s team that reached the 1985 NCAA playoffs.

Patti Mielke '86

Was a four year starter and letter winner in softball and soccer. She was a four time team MVP in softball while being the number one pitcher all four years. She was selected as outstanding freshman on the soccer team in 1982 and won sportsmanship awards from 1983-85. Patti was also soccer team captain in 1984 and 1985, and was named to West Region Academic All-American Team in 1985.

Jerry Winkelmann '86

Jerry lettered in baseball and basketball for two years and soccer for one year. As a senior catcher he batted .491, hit 13 home runs and was named 1st Team All-Region. In his final year of basketball, he averaged 12.4 points per game.

 

Leonard Bledsoe '87

Four year letterman in baseball. Top freshman award winner; 3 time team MVP. Member of Maryville’s 1985 NCAA playoff team. Also selected to the 1985 All Midwest Regional Team. Set school records for a season for hits (56), home runs (14), runs batted in (60), and total bases (112).

Julie Kellogg '87

Was a 4 year letter winner in basketball. A three time team MVP and 4-time all conference selection, she set the Maryville standard for most points in one game (43) as well as a career (1507). She also set Maryville records for most rebounds in a game (23), season (219) and career (828). As a freshman, Julie averaged 25.9 points per game.

Andrew Marley '89

Four year letter winner in basketball. First men’s player to score over 1,500 points. Top freshman award winner in 1985-86 season and Team MVP in 1988-89. Three time all-conference award winner.

Lorena “Trilby” Tayman '89

Two sport athlete, participated in soccer and basketball. Four year starting goalkeeper in soccer. Received top freshman award in 1985 and voted team MVP in 1986. Career record of 31-23-5. Set school records for shutouts in a season (8 ½) and career (21 ½). In basketball, set school mark for career assist (245).

 

Trina Casagrande '91

Four-year starter and letter winner in women’s soccer, Trina was top freshman award winner and two-time team MVP. The team had a .540 winning percentage during her four years. For three consecutive years, she was one of the top players in the region, twice as a Second Team all-region pick and once as a First Team selection. She was also First Team Academic All-American in 1987. She hit .302 as a catcher on the softball team in 1989.

Katie Aulbur '92

She was inducted posthumously. Katie was a four year letter winner in basketball and softball. In softball she was honorable mention All-Conference in 1990 and 1st Team All-Conference in 1991 and 1992. In basketball she was the top freshman award winner in 1989 and team MVP in 1992. She scored 857 career points. She also had 539 career rebounds and 162 career blocks.

Heather Toma Kochner '92

Was a four year letter winner in basketball and volleyball. In volleyball she was team MVP in 1989. She was also 1st Team All-Conference in 1989 and 1991. In basketball she was a four time team MVP. She also received the team’s top freshman award in 1988 and was 1st Team All-Conference in 1991. She scored 1329 career points and made 231 career 3-pointers.

Lynn Schauster '92

Was a two-sport letterwinner, starring in basketball for two years and softball for three years. As a senior softball player, she was ranked among the national leaders in hitting, runs batted in and slugging percentage. She was also Prairie College Conference Honorable Mention in softball and basketball in 1990.

Toni Keinrath Kalish '95

Toni was an outstanding volleyball player. She was named 1992 All Conference first team, 1993 All Conference second team, 1994 All Conference player of the year and she was a member of Maryville's 1993 League Championship Team. Congratulations Toni.

 Jeff Muschick '97

Jeff was an outstanding soccer player. He was named to the 1994 All Conference first team, 1994 Conference Player of the Year, 1994 Conference scoring leader (60) points, 1995 All Conference second team and was a member of the 1994 Maryville Conference League and Tournament Champions. Welcome to the Hall of Fame Jeff.
