Tim Plyler
Assistant Coach
Tim Plyler enters his first season as an
assistant coach for the Saints men's basketball program. His main
responsibilities include film exchange, scouting, game preparation, guard
development and coordinating travel, out-of-state recruiting and equipment.
In addition to his coaching duties with the varsity team, Plyler will also
serve as the head junior varsity coach.
Plyler comes to
Maryville from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala., where he served as an
assistant men's basketball coach for the Hawks in 2006-07. In addition to
being the recruiting coordinator, he also served as the head junior varsity
coach. |

Prior to Huntingdon,
Plyler spent time as a student-assistant coach at Freed-Hardeman University
in Henderson, Tenn. While at Free-Hardeman he assisted with recruiting
efforts, in-practice and in-game coaching and also film exchange. Plyler
also brings a wealth of experience after working numerous summer basketball
camps, including the UCLA Bruin Basketball Camp in 2006 and 2007.
Plyler, who will also
serve as the Saints head women's tennis coach, is a 2006 graduate of
Free-Hardeman University where he earned a degree in business
administration. He and his wife, Beth, reside in Chesterfield, Mo.
