Laura Oetjen

Assistant Coach
Laura Oetjen enters her first year as a
graduate assistant coach with the Saints women's basketball program.
Oetjen, a former
Saints player, competed four years under head coach Chris Ellis. She played
a total of 108 games and averaged 14.7 minutes per game, 6.8 points per game
and 2.6 rebounds per game. She also had 95 assists, 28 blocks, 145
three-point field goals made and a .343 three-point field goal percentage.
She scored in double digits a total of 30 times, and her best performance
was at Greenville College on February 1, 2007, in which she recorded 25
points, seven rebounds, a .526 (10-of-19) field goal percentage and a .455
(5-of-11) three-point field goal percentage.
Oetjen finished her
career ranked first in Maryville women's basketball in games played (108),
second in three-point field goals made (145), fifth in three-point field
goal percentage (.343) and ninth in all-time scoring (739 points).
Oetjen, a native of
Belleville, Ill., and a Belleville East High School graduate, completed her
undergraduate work at Maryville in 2007 and is currently pursuing a Master
of Physical Therapy. |
